Hoyt, Executive Director of Concord Housing + Redevelopment (CH+R) is pleased
to announce that Jackie Whatmough has been elected as the organization’s new Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners.
Whatmough has been on
the board at CH+R for two years. She has a long history of working in social services in the
Granite State. Whatmough retired as the City of Concord’s Director of Human Services in October of 2016, after serving in that position for 15 years. Prior to this, she
worked for two decades with low-income families and individuals, as well as the
immigrant population, in Manchester. Whatmough also serves on the board of Family Promise, and works with the Holiday Basket committee for the Capital Region Food Program. She has also volunteered on the Mayor’s Joint Task Force for Child Hunger and the CATCH board. Whatmough has worked tirelessly over the years to end homelessness in Concord. She is a graduate of the
University of New Hampshire.
Peter Berger was elected as Vice Chairperson of CH+R’s Board of Commissioners. Berger is a partner at Orr & Reno, P.A. and
has given his time and talents to many charitable organizations in Concord over the
years, including the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, the Concord Boys &
Girls Club, and New Hampshire Public Radio. Berger has served on the board at CH&R for nine years. Whatmough and Berger will work with three returning Commissioners at CH&R - Jerry Madden, Jim Fowler and Ari Pollack.
