Spaulding Youth Center is pleased to announce it was chosen as the People’s Choice Award recipient for its entry in the Pines Community Center Mac and Cheese Cook-off held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 in Northfield, New Hampshire.

A group of students and staff from Spaulding Youth Center participated in the culinary cook-off, which was open to local professional and amateur cooks. Organizers from the community center called for individuals or teams to prepare their best mac and cheese recipes off-site and bring their dishes to Pines for judging. The tasting lasted two hours before the winning dish was announced.

“Our students were thrilled to participate in the Pines Community Center Mac and Cheese Cook-off,” said Joyce McKenney, Residential Living Specialist from Spaulding Youth Center. “The kids were polite, gracious and extremely happy to be a part of this event that brought the Northfield community together in such a fun way. Winning the People’s Choice Award was the icing on the cake to a fantastic day.”
