Spaulding Youth Center is pleased to present its Spaulding Spirit Award for the third quarter to Daniel “Doc” Jenifer, Senior Facilities Worker. The Spaulding Spirit Award honors employees and acknowledges their hard work.

This peer-nominated award is given at each quarterly staff meeting to a staff member who exemplifies Spaulding Spirit and makes peers proud to be working by their side.

Doc was chosen as the Q3 Spirit Award recipient because he genuinely cares about creating a positive work environment and shelping people. He loves seeing a smile on employees’ and students’ faces. Doc was ecstatic to receive the Spaulding Spirit Award and a promotion to Senior Facilities Worker in the same week.

Doc has worked at Spaulding Youth Center for almost three years, but has been vested in the organization for far more. His wife, Monique, has been a Spaulding employee for ten years and the couple live close to campus with their five-year-old son, Noah. Originally from Maryland, Doc moved to New Hampshire after meeting his wife through mutual friends and loves the life they have built in the Granite State, which includes his small landscaping business, Doc’s Lawn Service. He was thrilled to receive an industrial-style leaf blower as his Spaulding Spirit gift to aid in this entrepreneurial endeavor.

“Dan has been an asset to Spaulding Youth Center and the Facilities & Grounds Department, not just today, but every day!” shares Dennis Galimberti, Facilities & Grounds Manager. “When facing various challenges every day, Dan maintains a positive attitude and is always looking to improve our processes. Dan will volunteer to stay late and come in early to accomplish tasks that can only be done during those times. Dan is a true shining star here at Spaulding Youth Center.”
