Winter Fest

Winter Fest 2019 is almost here! Starting Wednesday night, enjoy winter fun and festivities, including an ice carving competition and demonstrations, themed ice bars,  a corn hole tournament,  games and plenty of shopping throughout downtown Concord. Scheduled to coincide with the Black Pond Ice Hockey Tournament  WINTER FEST is presented by Intown Concord, The Hotel Concord, O Steaks and Seafood, the City of Concord and Binnie Media.  Spectators will enjoy watching ice-carving demonstrations and meeting some of New England's most talented carvers this Friday the 25th, starting at 4:00 PM, then on Saturday watch the carving competition beginning at 11:00 AM. The Hotel Concord will award prizes to the top three carvers plus the People's Choice Award. Ice carving demonstrations & competition is free and open to the public.  Each day is filled with something for everyone…. O Steaks & Seafood will be serving a variety of specialty drinks from four themed ice bars with a luge on the patio from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM nightly, with giveaways every 30 minutes. Boarding for Breast Cancer Weekend at Waterville Valley

Take part in our annual Pink Raffle to support B4BC. Waterville has raised over $50,000 in the last 11 years through this event. Boarding 4 Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation. B4BC's mission is to increase awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection and the value of an active lifestyle.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
THE ANNUAL B4BC RAFFLE- SAT. 2/2 & SUN. 2/3
Tons of product will be up for grabs! We will be raffling off everything from helmets to outerwear and even snowboards! Raffle tickets can be purchased Saturday or Sunday in the Sunroom of the Base Lodge for $2 each or 6 for $10. Don't worry, you do not need to be present to win! Raffle winners will be drawn Sunday 2/3 and 3pm.

Dawnland StoryFest

The Dawnland StoryFest is a warm spot in cold and snowy February and - New Hampshire's only annual Native American Storytelling Festival. This is the 5th year anniversary for the festival and its first year at the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum in Warner, NH.

Come hear experienced Native American storytellers share traditional tales during the heart of the Winter Storytelling Season.

The Festival takes place each year on the first Saturday in February, during the heart of the winter storytelling season. In this, its 5th year the Dawnland Storyfest 2019 is changing homes. Formerly held at the Mariposa Museum & Cultural Center in Peterborough, NH, starting this year, the Dawnland Storyfest will now be held at the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum in Warner, NH.

Please note: The Dawnland StoryFest 2019 is geared toward adults, including young adults, who are interested in Native American Storytelling traditions. This event is not really suitable for young children as there will be no specifically child-oriented activities - or childcare - provided during this one-day storytelling conference and festival.
