Legal Breakfast Series
Join us as we kick off the first topic in the popular Orr & Reno Legal Breakfast Series:
Revised Form I-9 and Employment Eligibility Verification Compliance
Recent administrative actions by the President including authorization to hire 10,000 additional Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, show a renewed focus on enforcement and a projected increase in the number of ICE audits to nearly 3,000-triple the numbers from recent years. The administration also released a revised version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification on July 17, 2017. As of September 18th, employers may only use this revised version and must continue following existing storage and retention rules for any previously completed Form I-9. Attorneys Julie Morse and Juliaana Digesu will discuss I-9 compliance and whether you can pass an I-9 Audit. Joining attorneys Morse and DiGesu for the discussion will be Orr & Reno immigration paralegals Robin Vermette and Paula Violo.
Registration is complimentary and open to the public, includes coffee and a light breakfast. Limited seats available; first-come, first-served.
