Music Out of the 'Box - Mark and Neil Shilansky

MUSIC OUT OF THE ‘BOX SERIES BRINGS JAZZ AND AMERICANA MUSIC TO CONCORD

On Thursday, December 28 at 7:30 PM, Mark Shilansky and friends will perform jazz and Americana music at the Hatbox Theatre in Concord, NH as part of the ongoing concert series, “Music Out of the ‘Box”.  Tickets are $17, $14 for members, seniors and students, $12 for senior members.

Music runs in the family.  Webster, NH natives Mark Shilansky (keyboards, vocals) and Neil Shilansky (drums, keyboards) come Home for the Holidays, along with another NH native, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Rob Duquette, for this special performance of Jazz and Americana music.  Selections from Neil Shilansky's upcoming CD “Life's a Marathon, not a Sprint” and Duquette's new “Trust the Night,” will be performed, along with a few surprises.

Bruce the Moose Birthday Bash!

Bruce will be handing out cupcakes at 1pm for his birthday! Bruce is also putting on his scavenger hunt!  Team up with family and friends to find all of Bruce's items in the base area.  Sign up on the first floor of the Base Lodge at the Guest Service desk between 9-10am to participate for a chance to win some awesome prizes!  Participants will be given a list of items to find and a pen and will have to mark off all the spots that Bruce has hidden his items.  Return the completed map to the Guest Service desk by 2pm for your teams chance to win!

Enjoy a wine tasting and a creative session of making unique mosaic crafts! This class is fun, educational and relaxing. Dine prior to the class in The Bistro at LaBelle Winery or order from our Bistro menu during the workshop.

Tipsy Tile Mosaics will provide all of the materials needed to create your original and unique mosaic craft, and the "how to" of selecting, placing and securing mosaics will be guided by Brandy Trombly.  There are no prerequisites to taking this class.  You don't need to have any craft making experience...that's part of the fun.  You will be amazed at what you create!

LaBelle Winery hosts: Learn to play the Ukulele

Have you ever wanted to learn to play an instrument?  Join Robert Allwarden to learn some ukulele songs and enjoy a wine tasting and artisan cheese.  Participants will leave the group class with the fundamentals (emphasis on fun!) and four basic chords which will unlock the potential for playing hundreds of popular songs.  This class is designed for little or no experience.

If you have a ukulele bring it along, there are also a limited number of ukuleles to borrow for the night, see options below. Come join us for an evening of fun and music (that you make!)

UNH Leadership Certificate Program

Certify your leadership potential in just three two-day sessions. Get maximum impact in a manageable format.
The Leadership Certificate Program acts as an accelerator for extraordinary results in your current role and an incubator for seizing future opportunities.

Dr. Bill Hassey leads the certificate program with contributions from hand selected members of the Paul College faculty.  Participants can expect an outstanding academic experience with instructors who have a proven track record working with the business community.

The Leadership Certificate Program delivers concepts through a problem-solving framework rich in self-assessment, instruction, coaching, and practice.  The tools participants take-away apply to situation after situation and role after role.  Participants explore strategies for success in motivation, emotional intelligence, leading change, conflict management, coaching, and much more.

Three intensive two-day sessions are spread out to allow maximum absorption, application, and renewal of concepts covered.  Participation in all six days is required for certification.
